You asked me to tell you why we love living in Las Brisas so hopefully this note will explain that to you.

Las Brisas is a lovely integrated Mexican community which many of us from Canada and the USA are fortunate to be able to also belong to. I really do mean that it is a community!

The people here are very friendly and welcoming. There are many small grocery stores, meat markets, and small venders selling everything you can imagine. They are all extremely helpful as we stumble with our Spanish and often resort to pantomime!! They just laugh with us.

Las Brisas is very safe and we have never felt uncertain about walking at night. We also have a flat terrain here which allows us all to have lovely long walks without too much strain that some of the communities built on the mountain sides have to endure.

Some of the small homes and buildings that have sustained damage over the years are slowly being torn down and replaced either by the Mexicans as they can afford it or have been sold to someone who is building a new home.

The beach is lovely and often deserted! We can walk for miles and many times not run into another person! The ocean here is very safe and many people enjoy their daily swim. Often at sunset, the local families who do not live on the beach all come down and sit to watch the sunset together which is really lovely to see, and the sunsets we see every night are usually spectacular. As we have the largest port in Mexico here at the end of Las Brisas we are lucky to watch the cargo ships and the cruise ships coming and going at all hours. It is very peaceful and really spectacular as they go out to sea under the setting sun!

As Manzanillo develops and starts to boom, our property values are also going up but we will not experience the down side of rapid growth as most of the property left here is only large enough for single family homes. We really don’t have room for anymore hotels to bring more people to our beach. We are going to be able to retain our small community as it is and we feel so thankful for that! Here, in Las Brisas, we are surrounded by what we loved about Mexico in the first place - the people. They are lovely, friendly, helpful and hardworking people.

Your new condo (Perla Del Mar) will be a nice addition to our beach and we feel certain that you and your new owners will come to love Las Brisas as we have in the past 5 years.
